S3M 形式について
S3M is ScreamTracker 3's module format — the 1994 standard that carried PC demo music past the AdLib's FM chip into sampled instruments, with PCM samples, FM instruments or both in one file. Half the classic DOS game soundtracks you remember were S3Ms.
Conversion renders the module through the tracker engine to MP3 or WAV — the FM-vs-sample mix is resolved exactly the way the composer intended, frozen into a universally playable waveform.
